I am so proud and honored to have a first lady who is fashionable conscious (or at least has a great stylist who is) and stays up to date with style, and figure enhancing couture.  The color is brilliant and shows respect for the Chinese culture who prides the color red as a symbol of good luck & prosperity, which I'm sure she was fully aware of!  This photo was taken at the White House state dinner for the Republic of China.
